2.7 TV and Radio

There is one overall external system that provides all of the TV capability to the development including satellite/pay per view television as well as conventional digital and HDTV. All of the apartments are individually linked to this. There are individual TV aerial outlets in all of the principle rooms of your apartment. On the main TV plate in the living room, are outlets for digital TV, FM and DAB radio and satellite signals (Sky Q, Sky HD and Freesat).

The main aerial connection point is on the living room AV plate This is supplied direct from the roof mounted aerial. The outlets within the bedrooms have their own satellite connection and are also connected to the ‘system loop’ input labelled ‘9’in the picture below (via the amplifier within the telephone and data cabinet).

To enable terrestrial television to function on the bedroom circuit please connect the TV link cable provided to the main aerial connection point ‘7’. This cable should join outlet ‘7’ to the return input ‘9’.

If you do not wish to make use of satellite TV, then your home is ready for TV connection, with the link cable already installed. Simply plug your TV into the aerial and power outlets and happy viewing.

If you wish to use satellite TV, connect the two dish connections on your satellite box to SAT 1 and SAT 2 (outlets ‘5’ & ‘6’ on the picture below) in the traditional way. The aerial outlet ‘7’ should be connected to the ‘aerial in’ on your Sky box and the aerial input ‘9’ should be connected to the RF2 output on your Sky box. Connect your TV to your satellite box with a HDMI lead (via the letterbox if high level mounting the TV) to make use of HD services. You will also be able to watch Sky TV at the bedroom locations.
